Oh! lol
Oh! lol
Congratulations.
Black person. Used to be said in hip hop back in the day a lot.
Ah...ok.
Wow. And here I thought human beings relied on each other, especially family members and long-standing couples.
At age 61 with limited work experience because you were being a stay-at-home husband and father? People could tell you that, but it would be unrealistic. I gather you believe that no consideration should be given to the newly impoverished half of the couple, though the decisions the couple made together clearly…
Ok. Interesting. So when a couple makes a decision together that affects both of them, like one not following a career path so the children can be raised, the family unit can run smoothly, etc., the one who can't really make a living is shit out of luck when the relationship ends (after 39 years, even) and no…
Ok, why don't you explain your reasoning?
You didn't answer my question or comment on what I actually wrote at all. Interesting that you think women in their 30s are never with men in their early 20s "in any capacity", but still not an answer or comment about your personal feelings and how you think that situation should be handled if you were in it. I'm…
Just curious - suppose you got into a relationship at age 22 with a woman who was a high earner, let's say she's 32. You get into a relationship with her and the two of you decide to commit yourselves to one another but don't particularly believe you need to be married, though she publicly refers to you as her…
Chomping popcorn and waiting for the MRAs...
On behalf of Black women everywhere, I assure this guy that he is in no danger of any Nubian woman even thinking about dating him.
Yeah, we just went to college and learned a big word, without actually having to deal with the people who benefit from supremacy and privilege every day telling us what we should and should not be able to complain about, and how we should feel about the constant bullshit. Whining and complaining about every little…
And there it is - if I were to speak loudly, wear a cheap n' sexy outfit, wear an inappropriate wig, use a word incorrectly, have a child out of wedlock, or god forbid have an identifiably African American name, I am automatically described as "ratchet", "ghetto", or "hood". Funny how I see white people speaking…
Aw!
Thank you! I knew at least one other person had to have read that too.
East Coast baby! Lol. I was also mostly raised in the suburbs, close to Philadelphia.
Here is a secret: Those of us who grew up on real hip hop can't identify most of the biggest "rappers" out there today. The hip hop that is played on the radio today is aimed at and consumed by a majority white population, and is nothing like what I listened to 25 years ago.
She is a rapper. Not so much talent.
I've searched for the interview but can't find it. It was years ago and was in print, as I remember it. She talked about how she thought she was unattractive, men left her for white women, she wanted to look like Pam Anderson, etc. May have been more than one interview - again, it was years ago. Wish I could find…
