Please read on. I think you've missed the point, at least of what I was trying to say.

Seriously, you need to read ALL of what I said. That has already been addressed. Hint: I can't imagine saying that any people of any type are only meant to have certain features. Sheesh, people. Read it all, with the "reading comprehension" button clicked.
YES! That was obviously a problem at Rider University, which is a small school in New Jersey. While experiencing my own culture shock after coming from a predominantly Black high school, I would attempt conversations with people that went something like this:
I've never heard of a historically Black sorority or fraternity, including the frat my brother is a part of and the organizations that existed on campus when I went to school, that DID NOT have members of other races.
I'm actually surprised that I've only seen one post like that so far.
Uh-huh...I hear ya...any group that is predominantly black is "racist". 'Cuz that's a thing.
Ooooohhhh....thanks!
Yup. One just posted 2 minutes ago.
How come I don't see suspenders??? Which suit has them?
Just for the record, I don't believe white people who do those types of cosmetic things are, especially in any conscious way, trying to look more black. They are, however, "co-opting and watering down" (another commenter put it so much better than I can) those specific features of people of color that are pointed out…
I was attending Rider University, at the time still Rider College, when this happened:
OMG thank you! People don't seem to get what I mean about the "watered down co-opting", and I'm not great at explaining it. It's good to see that someone who is not Black is able to see it, and thinks it's weird. It can get a bit annoying to see it happen all your life, and then have a bunch of people tell you that…
Some of what you are responding to adds quite a bit to what I actually said. Never did I say "every white person who wants full lips is a racist".
Aaaaargh!
Since that's not what I said, I can totally agree with you.
I understand that. Still doesn't negate the overall point.
Oh....I see. Are you not aware that full lips, curly hair, and dark skin are considered unattractive on Black women (those are features that are common and typical among Black people, which is what I meant by "meant to have"), but when those same features are transferred to white women, sometimes through plastic…
Are you serious? Because if you are, it shouldn't be too hard to research the subject.
Yes, what you're saying here is accurate.
It still stands that Black features on white women are considered beautiful, when they are considered ugly on the actual people that are meant to have them.
