Hi, fellow FiST owner. Good choice. 100% agreed.

You nailed it. The problem with the GTI is that while it is an incredibly competent all-rounder, it's a master of none except maybe refinement (for the price). Also, everyone from your grandad to the spoiled brat around the corner has a GTI.

Good review. I was between a GTI and a Fiesta ST last month. Aside from having to wait two months (longer, possibly, given order banks), the GTI, if the Mk5 and Mk6 are much to go by, while supremely confident, just felt less fun than the Fiesta ST (or Focus ST). I love the GTI though, and I'm sure the Mk7 MQB

The Soul is a family car, kids like hamsters, so that was all good until Kia turned the whole thing into a tiring hipster fest in TV spots and all over the Internet.

True. True and horrifying. Overturning my car end over end because I was a stupid idiot carrying too much entry speed, and hurting no one other than myself? Not going to keep me awake. Thought of minding my business with a passenger/loved one beside me and a semi-trailer suddenly stopping ahead of me? Yeah,

Wow, the whole car just...looks on-tack.

"Rear ending or running under a truck's tail gate may not provide the stopping force necessary for airbag deployment." A decidedly chilling way to not say 'Your face will become the crumple zone shortly before you are decapitated." Ouch.

Literally the only cool thing about the 108 PCD is the Volvo/Ford/Ferrari connection.

Hands-down my favorite color for the GTI.

I suppose he wants to 'take it back' that he tried to sue TGUK for basically saying the Roadster was garbage?

Wow, I'm surprised he kept it on the pavement. Also, what's playing in the backrgound...Periphery's "Clear" disc?

My car has three settings.
Normal (ESC / TCS full-on)
Sport (ESC allows more slip, TCS allows more wheelspin)
Off. No ESC program, no TCS. You. Three pedals. Six gears, and nothing between you and hooliganism. The only things that cannot be overriden are the brake-based e-diff and ABS. The ride is always

So, you're telling me I buy a car less than a month ago, and then VW does...this?
FML.

Actually, since they're all getting the DI treatment, how about a "Mustang Turbo: The Injection" (another Capri reference!)

Oh.... You're good.

Mustang Turbo S and GTS-T made me chuckle. No Mustang GT-T?

So it will have an engine in a different location, and a different drivetrain?

Oh, so you mean it'll be branded as an S2000, not an actual S2000. Okay. Not buying. I'm guessing it'll probably weigh more, too.

Judging by the new Outback (concept?) I take it their plan to be bigger in America is to literally be bigger. In which case, I'm out, and old Subies are it for me. Make a car like the 2.5RS GC8 again and we'll talk, Subaru. Bring us a new Legacy GT. But stop hitting '+size' on the Xerox.

Actually, except for the places the mega rich live, it is entirely a 3rd world country. Ask me how I know! But that's Brazil for you. Pretty much all people care about are ass, beer, soccer, and Sabadao do Faustao.

Ohhh yay! This means my iOS developer friend who is already infatuated with the Model S (his boss has one) will bleat even more loudly about it, as he is an Oatmeal reader (as am I). But I thought the human behind The Oatmeal was also a IT pro of some sort...in addition to running a webcomic (as is often the case).
