Well, it’s one thing to say “let the market decide in a vacuum”. It’s something else to think that there is any chance that said vacuum exists in the current atmosphere.
If some gaffer or stagehand had committed serial assaults it might make page six news and that person would be dismissed. It woudn’t affect the public in any big way. People won’t boycott because the product didn’t revolve around the accused.
