I know, I'm done watching after this season. The totally unnecessary and not-at-all in the books rape scene did it for me. It sucks too, because I love watching and reading medieval/fantasy things. I need something to tie me over until Renaissance festival season!

That's true. It doesn't make sense, from a production standpoint, to bring in more white people. They could have chosen a different shot, though. I'm not a TV producer or camera-person, so I'm not sure what they could have done. I'm just saying that this image made me feel uncomfortable.

Sure, that's what they're doing, but I think the image itself is problematic. It's pretty obvious Dany has no idea what she's doing; they didn't need to include an image in which non-white slaves hold up their white savior to bring that point home.

I had the same thought when I watched this episode. Look! The nice white lady is here to save the sad, poor brown people! I'm kind of surprised the director / editor didn't think that this image would make people uncomfortable.

I agree. My mother, who invests way too much energy on caring about celebrities, would always make snarky remarks to me about what she was wearing during her pregnancy. "You'd think someone that rich would find more flattering maternity wear." "Why wear something that makes you look fatter when you're pregnant?"

Unfortunately, this woman (older sister of a lifelong friend) believes that life begins at fertilization AND is currently pregnant.

This has been what is driving me crazy. I have many conservative facebook friends (I grew up in a religious environment) who keep posting about how it's no big deal because Hobby Lobby is providing 16 other kinds of contraceptives and the four they object to are "abortificants." NO THEY ARE NOT STOP MAKING UP

Not swimsuit related: I watch The Only Way Is Essex religiously and it is NOT similar to Jersey Shore. It is far more comparable to The Hills. The way it's filmed, the format of the episodes, the use of music, even the font they use for people's names are super similar. It drives me nuts that American media keeps

Tongue out, fish on the wall.

Sounds like a neat job! Have fun in your new waders!

Ugh, so jealous! What job do you have that buys you waders? I want it!

I totally understand this problem! I am a frequent fly fisher and it's impossible to find a fishing shirt that is big enough for my chest that doesn't swallow me. Wearing a t-shirt while fishing is simply not an option. Long sleeved fishing shirts keep you from getting sunburned while still being ventilated to keep

Whaaat! I knew House Hunters was fixed, but I didn't know that about Love It or List It! The magic is goneeeeeeeeee.

I always assumed mud rooms were a place to take off all your snowy stuff before you entered the actually living area of the house, so you don't get everything all wet and/or muddy? Maybe?

Did you ever take that Buzzfeed "Which Type of House Hunters Person Are You?" quiz? I got "The Person Who JUST CAN'T With Carpet". Truer words have never been spoken (or typed?).

Good point! I feel like David at least tries to keep it to homes close to their desired area. I suppose that wouldn't bother me as much because I live in a city where pretty much everyone drives. I'm not really sure what the transportation situation is in Toronto, so being in the area next to your desired area could

I know! I don't know how he hasn't snapped and gone insane from never getting picked. I feel like all Hilary ever does is give them a badass kitchen and fix structural issues. It's nice to have a new kitchen; but, I honestly don't see how you don't list it when she doesn't give them the requested extra bedroom and

Thanks for the great life advice.

My mother and I LIVE for Love It or List It! I basically have to throw the TV out every time I watch it, though, because they always decide to Love their goddamned too tiny house! Lady, you have four children in a three bedroom house with an unfinished basement and David has shown you an amazing 5-bedroom turn key

Austin may be great for an LGBTQ person, but it has severe ethnic diversity problem. It's the only fast-growing American city to be losing African American residents, which seems pretty problematic.
