It’s a reference to makeup, but isn’t insulting her makeup. It’s calling her a liar, which she is. Dude, is this really the hill you want to die on?

Dum dum, a smokey eye is a make up technique (google it, I’m sure you can find some tutorials) and the joke was that her make up looked good. The joke is a direct jab at her being a transparently bad liar not her appearance.

But if I have to focus on the facts, how can I keep bringing the heat with my signature lazy and cynical humor? You see the conundrum, don’t you Burbs?
