Is there a special provision in New York law governing recording in hospitals?

If NY is a one-party consent state for recording purposes, I fail to see an actual cause of action by the hospital. It’s also not illegal to announce you do not like your doctor and why. Case in point: Google reviews.

Once they put her on the blacklist, she probably sees that the system is broken. Where do you go next? To the media.

Absolutely ridiculous. I remember being prescribed Accutane, which has an extremely high risk of causing severe birth defects, and all I was told was to use two forms of birth control and to take a monthly pregnancy test via blood draw. They made you take a quiz every month online to remind you of all of the risks

If the doctor’s personal philosophy potentially violated the Hippocratic oath, then she’s well within her rights. Or will you also be clutching pearls about the other patients that posted negative reviews of the same doc as well and telling what they should be doing instead?

Oh yeah if she gets better at ??? she’ll stop getting harassed. That makes sense.

Now playing

I’m kind of amazed that the review is such an animal-rights screed. I’ve seen a lot of weird takes on the A.V. Club over the years but this is one of the weirdest.

I don’t get the horror that a cow’s life might be “far removed from nature.” It depends on this idea that nature is idyllic.  Sounds for a cow that are not removed from nature would include the sound of a wolf eating you while you’re still alive, or the howling wind causing you to freeze to death.

Keizer writes of seeing a cow moo for a minute: “Even the most skeptical among us would have to agree that Luma is expressing an anguish that is felt no less deeply than our own.”

It also proves that it was nothing but crocodile tears for himself during his speech. If he felt actual remorse, he’d have left.

Oh, yeah, I’m sure your Friday nights are full of strangers slapping each other. Suuuure, tough guy.

He traces the light beam to its origin, which is a roof where Commissioner Gordon is waiting, and he explains the problem to Batman

Or a single good person. Or anyone with a brain.

You could pin this comment at the top of every Barsanti article and it would apply.

If there was ever a show where a major character can just suddenly show up as a different gender without any kind of acknowledgement, it’s this one.

The tone of this post sucks. Fuck off, man.

Jim Carrey weighed in because he was asked about it. 99.9 % of these stories about celebs weighing in on things (are Marvel movies cinema/Oscars slap, whatever) is because they’re asked about it on press junkets to generate headlines...like the one Carrey’s doing for Sonic 2. But you know this.

You know, it occurs to me that if you don’t think that a celebrity’s response to something is particularly noteworthy, then you have the option to simply NOT REPORT ON IT. This weird sort of unearned condescending snark may be Barsanti's trademark, but I'll be damned if I can understand why it's something that the GMG

This is going to make a lot of people mad who won’t understand that someone deciding to transition is quite possibly one of the most mundane issues the Hargreeves family has seen.
