SNES and NES controllers don’t use micro switches, they use a membrane contact common ground. So if you don’t replace the membranes, which this kit does not require, button feel will be identical.

Have you ever taken a D-pad apart? They are literally 4 buttons but with connected cross over the top instead of 4 independent buttons. The connected cross is what allows you to get a reaction from movement in the middle.
