Danielle - your story is so important. Thank you for sharing it.

YES I am going to have dreams about this now.

When he’s a little older, Philip Pullman’s Sally Lockhart mysteries (the first is The Ruby in the Smoke) are great.

Spot on. Boys, particularly white boys, need to learn empathy, putting themselves in other people’s shoes. Media is a pretty effective way of doign that.

Amazing. My partner has a four year old daughter so we have Ada Twist, and I bought Josephine for my bff’s daughter. I’m due in a month with a boy so I’ll check out the others! I just love this reco of reading stories with girls as the leads, I’m anxious to raise a little feminist and this seems like a great approach.

Recos, please!!

Katie Fry, Private Eye is a great series. My boys love it.

A lot of people are saying Donald J. Trump murdered JonBenet Ramsey.

My family does that to me, too, but I wouldn’t really mind seeing them jailed.

Okay but it also has a clause preventing you from bringing up their supposed sanctimony when none of them has even said anything to you.

My friend went into a Target yesterday, and saw a bunch of onesies that said “Future President” in with the boy baby clothes. There were no such onesies on the girl baby clothes side. She took half of them off the rack and moved them to the girl side, which is why we are friends.
