I like my tires with 78% nitrogen and about 21% oxygen for best performance.

lol like the IT guys on Wall St work with the money-makers. You’d have been in some basement (which is its own valid reason to quit). It’s not like you’d be rubbing shoulders with traders and managers. Ever.

Harmony in workplace culture is extremely valuable — often just as valuable as pure numbers. Somebody can be the best “whatever” in the world, but if he makes everybody around him uncomfortable, the organization is better off without him. If you sell more than everybody else, but you’re also such a toxic human being

Yup. I had spent 2 1/2 years on the road, traveling 50 weeks out of 52. One of the reasons that I took the job with that company was that I would be working in my home city. I had no desire to go back out on the road in general, and I despise NYC. Yes, I know, plenty of people like NYC, but I just can’t stand it.

I absolutely shudder at the thought of the high-pressure tactics he must have used back in the day.

That being said, I’d be curious whether it’s comparing apples to oranges. Like did Reda do any fleet sales? Did Girard? That would be an easy way to skew numbers one way or the other.

My money would be on the fraud being his, not the record breaker’s.

I work on Wall Street. I am familiar with “overly competitive” people. Threatening to sue somebody who claims to have broken a bullshit record you set 45 years ago, and continuing your vendetta against somebody who fired you after that person has died, are not “overly competitive.” They’re the signs of severe mental

How much you wanna bet his numbers weren’t audited back in 1973?

I’m not following how he would have any right to look at any records from that dealership. Their sales records are none of his business.

Example #8,937 why the dealership model needs to die.

I was prepared to jump in with everyone and say “this person is going way too far”. But then I thought, and wondered “wow, what if this does turn up some sort of fraud?”. It’s not like car salesmen are well known for their honesty.

Wow, at least Girard will still have the record for biggest asshole.

I got a hunch that English wasn’t your first language. Let me guess...was it Russian?

The US doesn’t have a national language, while English is the primary language it’s only been made the only or one of several official languages at the state level for some states. That being said, I think it should be, but I’m not sure how being official would change anything.

Maybe you missed the part where they specifically said that they were working on it, but were lying:

I missed all of them. I am sleepy today, though.

Shame the hybrid system is not the plug-in variety. Loop that cable back around and get infinite mileage, right? :-)

Remarkably stupid comment, thank you.

But credit cards can be turned into cash just as quickly as, well, cash can. Unless you’re literally talking about physical bills in a safe or under your mattress.

I think it depends on your life circumstances.
