Maybe dip your toes in on Wednesday when the tavern brawl releases. Every week its a different thing, sometimes it’ll give you a prebuilt deck, others it will have a crazy modifier like every spell played also plays a random minion of the same cost. You may have more luck in those.

I think the 15 days is once per account and the gil is for the first character on each designated server.
getting to 30 on one of those servers also grants 1 million gil and a free 15 days of game time, so it can be a nice bonus for anybody who feels like playing an alt.

I wish FFXI’s style would make a comeback, I feel the only reason it wasn’t more popular was the console support. At the time it caused the game’s UI to be so confusing and clunky.
It happened quite a few times in FFXI, which had a really polite playerbase compared to most MMOs.
