Yeah, I think that’s her point? If she’s not salaried, then she can be docked (or forced to take PTO) for weeks where she doesn’t work 40 hours. If you’re exempt & salaried, then a lot of employers don’t care if you work 35 hours or 65, as long as the work gets done (varies by employer obviously).

Eek. Sounds like they got unlucky (or maybe I got lucky). I adopted a rescue last year, can leave him at home all day while I’m at work and sometimes most of the night if I’m going out and he’s fine, he just lazes around. He gets 2 walks a day (and loves playing fetch), but otherwise he’s super low maintenance.
