Eastbound is less tightly plotted (they kept coming back for new seasons when HBO wanted them to, they didn’t go in to make 2 seasons and call it a show) but definitely equally well written. It’s more colorful and there’s more improv so it’s more dense with gags, in my opinion. I love them both.
