They combined two shots (likely two segments of the same take) so that a second car would drive by sooner, while keeping Ed's over the shoulder uniform. The glitch is tiny and unnoticeable at proper viewing brightness.

Prediction: The impossible to see at proper screen brightness glitch was not intentional and will never pay off.
