If some of the smartest minds working at the US Navy can’t figure out what those objects are, the probability of them not being human made or natural phenomena increases significatively.

Ticks. Ticks are in the tall grass.

The Hall of fame question is valid, thats very much up for debate. But asking “was Eli Manning actually any good” is actually an incredibly stupid question. Yes the guy was good QB. He has a .500 record and won two super bowls with two of the greatest playoff runs in QB history. You don’t do that by not being any

I rate this comment 7 out of 7 And 7 Is.

For him to come back from as horrible as that injury was, and not just play but be a legitimate contributor on multiple championship teams, was a remarkable thing to watch. His lethal mid-range jumper off the bench helped the Warriors spell Curry during their title runs, and was a big part of why their second unit was

Total respect for Shaun Livingston. I have a weird connection with him, as it turns out. On the day Shaun suffered his career threatening injury, I suffered basically the exact same injury while skiing in Colorado. As I lay in the hospital bed that evening, Sports Center was on and I watched the replay of the awful

Shaun’s game with the Warriors was beautiful to watch, as was his class.

Livingston is great and so was this.

That was one of the most horrific injuries I've ever seen in sports. For him to come back at all, never mind come back and be a terrific role player for over a decade, is goddamn inspiring

I mean, Iggy was a Finals MVP and always had to guard the best player in the world. That carries some weight for me.

Manu
Iggy
Livingston
Everyone else

No way GS wins anything without Iguodala.

I have largely ignored the NBA after 2006 (see: Oklahoma, state of) so I missed most/all of the details of Livingston’s injury and story when it happened. The NBA owes to him, Iggy, and Klay’s the return of this fan. It was their play (mostly Livingston and Iggy, Klay because he’s a Coug) that reminded me how fun reall

Someday in the not-too-distant future, when we’re remembering some guys, I’ll probably remember Shaun Livingston.

Shaun Livingston always looked like, and probably was, the coolest cat on the court.  He simply oozes smooth.

I met him at the restaurant I was working at in Portland when the Warriors were playing the Blazers in the WCF and him and his family were very respectful. I told him that my father was from Peoria, Illinois and his father lit up actually more than I expected. When I told him that his Warriors were slaying my Blazers h

Than you Shaun! You were amazing as a Warrior!

No better than third, by my calculus: Manu and Iggy, I would say, were more principal contributors to their teams. But those names obviously only serve to highlight how important Livingston truly was.

I’ll go out on a limb and say he’s the second most important bench player of the last 15 years.

This is one of the simplest and best things I have read on Deadspin in a while.

Real talk - this was simple and elegant. Thank you.
