But deep in my heart I know that part of him not playing/pulling out at the last minute had at least something to do with Team USA cutting him in favor of a post-injury Derrick Rose back in the day.

I remember when the blowhard was certain all three of them would be all-stars. Now him and the other two are in obscurity where they belong, and the only one to make the NBA in the first place has been exiled to New Orleans.

I can’t imagine anyone bought the shoes thinking they would actually be a quality basketball shoe....the more disturbing part of this is whole story is how anyone thought they actually looked cool.  I would rather have a whole closet full of Steph Curry’s boring ass shoes than a single pair of ZO2s.

How much money did this guy lose by not signing with a major brand like Nike or Adidas? His Dad may have helped get him to the NBA but he really screwed him with this whole Big Baller Brand fiasco.

How and why didn’t the Lakers stop him from wearing these shoes? He played a total of 99 games his first two season as a result of multiple ankle and knee injuries. It’s difficult not to believe the shoes may have contributed to the injuries. Lakers are an absolute shit show of an organization.

This show is dumb. This season will be dumb. I will watch every episode, as I have every previous episode. None of it will make sense. I will have a good time. 

AD has the size and skills and talent to play the 5. Heck, in some ways, Lakers brass could try selling it to him as continuing that Great Lakers Center tradition in the steps of everyone from Mikan to Wilt, Kareem and Shaq. But he has made it abundantly clear during his time in New Orleans that he does not want to…

I wonder how AD will feel having to defend either Kawhi or PG-13 when they play the clippers. You know the clippers will finish close games with a line up of Pat Bev, Lou Williams, Kawhi, PG-13 and Harrell. If hes not willing to play center, whoever is at center will get burned.

This is a bad take. Do you really expect them to not sign another center after one of theirs got injured? That and the only other centers they have right now are Javale McGee and some undrafted rookie. They need to get someone.

Lakers don’t really have a choice; AD’s a free agent next summer and they absolutely cannot afford to lose him after what they gave up. After what he went through to come to LA it’s hard to imagine he leaves, yeah, but wilder things have happened (eg: Paul George).
