Same. I have no interest in anime but that show really scratched that Firefly itch of quirky weirdos scraping by in a grungy future setting.

Having not watched the anime (but somewhat familiar with it), we really liked the live-action show. It was goofy, but it was also energetic and fun and really entertaining. The fact that Netflix dropped it so abruptly was a big bummer.

Seriously, Netflix cancelled this show with a fucking vengeance. It’s not like the show was mid-season on cable tv, and they needed to tell viewers why it was suddenly replaced by a rerun of Big Bang Theory... they could’ve easily let it go for a while and killed it quietly further down the line. Too blatant. You have to be way more subtle to troll on this issue since Ukraine is a victim of imperial aggression and has the deserved goodwill of every person who isn’t an empty shell.
