I suspect that it’s because he’s just not a total narcissist. I grew up in Madison, WI - original home of The Onion and AV Club, so it’s a bit of a bummer to see it all end in such a crappy way. I guess I’m surprised it’s hung on since 2018 as well as it has (which hasn’t been great).
