You are really overselling the importance of optimization here. You can do a lot of tricks knowing exactly what hardware you are working with but that doesn't make the hardware more powerful it only limits how that engine performs on non specific systems and that has more to do with why console ports are shoddy on PC…

How did you get your to work on PC? I can only watch on my tablet. I called DirectTV and they told me you can't watch live on your PC, you can only watch streams when the games are over.

I'm not as sensitive to input lag I guess, I also mostly play single player experiences, but the times that I've played competetivley I didn't notice it as a hinderance, though I'm sure like you this depends on personal expectations and requirements.
