"The box just sits down there occasionally seeing a disk going in or out of it."

Not this shit again.

I always thought the Wii U gamepad was a gimp.

The specs say it has a bluray drive.

It's a slightly different beast. Since its custom architecture with the CPU and GPU on-die sharing memory it will probably be able to do some physics stuff that computers won't be able to do, it really depends on how well the on-die Gfx chips in the new intel and AMD chips compare. I'm hoping haswell compares

Since they released an OS beyond Windows XP 32bit.

This seems like Blizzard saying, "PC gamers weren't as stupid as we thought, let's see what we can get away with on consoles.".

Like I said if they were smart they would do an on-die CPU/GPU that shared memory. Winner Winner chicken dinner!

To David Cage :

When was the last time a gun saved everyone from a fire?

Why not mention all the games like that which came before Rock n Roll racing?

Meh, it's just a console collection.

Hey I feel ya man. It's just gonna be hard to gain funding unless you've got a lot of previous accomplishments. I think sites are probably scared to promote something since Kickstarter can be such a bad crap shoot in product delivery. They don't want to be associated in any way with people losing their money. This

Reputable, proven developer.

You call it excessive, I call it the fastest rate of progress the market will naturally bear. A system where hardware only got more capable via the companies bottom line instead of by innovation to the market is easily manipulated. I do not condone a slightly socialist form of hardware advancement for gaming.

This is the utopian view, I can tell you this is not the way businesses work or the way they will see hardware purchases. If you support this because of a utopian view on on it you will becontributing to the de-evolution of gaming despite you're grandiose intentions.

The main reason is money. No company is going to put that kind of money into the kind of power needed for distributed gaming. They will minimize the power in order to serve as many users as possible. Certainly the rate of hardware improvement will slow even more than the console cycle when companies are responsible

You think Sony will be looking to buy new server farms or upgrade the old ones every 5-6 years? LOL! Those will be the preferred servers you will have to pay extra to game at High detail settings.

Tits man.

Im not even going to start to argue with you on just how wrong you are. You know nothing about this.
