I loved this film. I know a lot of people had their “problems” with how Carol was written but I didn’t. The story worked really well for me and I think Brie did a great job. Also, I know everyone is praising Ben Mendelson, as they should but baby, Annette Bening, Annette Bening, Annette Bening! OMG I loved her here.

Kevin Smith is totally verklempt.

Larson and Jackson had killer chemistry though.

Yeah, I liked that bit where he forgave Carol for having killed Skrulls in the past because war is hell for everyone. Thatwas a subtle but nice moment.

> Marvel can’t afford to depend on that as it moves into its new phase.

Why wouldn’t we have been excited for Iron Man 3?

The MCU’s Captain Marvel just comes off as smug and disinterested, with a constant ‘deal with it’ look on her face in every frame of the trailer.

Get Out was amazing, Key and Peele was amazing, Jordan Peele is phenomenal.... But this movie looks so f*cking terrifying I dunt know if I can bring myself to actually watching it. Maybe in a room full of close friends in the middle of the day with they lights blazing...

Both the Skrull and Kree already have faster than light travel, why did they need a new lightspeed engine?

“Can you turn into a cat?”

“Was that so hard to figure out? I mean... you’re my science guy.”

This is such a stupid controversy on so many levels. In the words of Patton Oswalt “You’re going to miss everything cool and die angry.”

This is the best fucking news ever.
We get hot sauron, Elves and Humans at their height of power, encounters with full form Maiar and Valar.

My peepee is hard.

“For those fans unfamiliar with the vast complexities of Middle-earth history, there are basically four main “Ages””

Some historical notes:

It was a perfectly pleasant episode my only complaint was it was too long. That’s like a huge bucket of win for them. The Talos thing is a nitpick, but it felt like Star Trek.

C’mon! There’s no pleasing you people. This episode had Timey-Wimey stuff, lots of shuttlepod business, a Vulcan reenactment of Ordinary People, canon porn and Michelle Yeoh being sassy while using her martial arts skills. Solid hour of Trek!

I actually enjoyed this episode.  Name dropped Mutara sector as well as the destination of Spock’s shuttle.  Curious if that was just fan service or had more significance.

Trump is usually three white sheets to the wind.

Also: Tim Cappelo will be added to cast.
