One thing I found out more and more and South Park has been playing with so much is that this very blatantly political humour works if it aligns with your thoughts. As someone previously pointed out, Harcourt and Murn come out like puppets in the opening credits. Once Murn was confirmed to have a butterfly, I was waiting for when she would be infected.
