People with mental health issues as significant as what Neely had aren’t just going to sit in their free house and not go out and do the things that led to the situation in the subway.

Sounds to me like making a modern BEV isn’t as easy as the Tesla haters like to claim. And maybe, just maybe, Tesla’s overall quality isn’t that bad after all...

Our yard guy has a couple of helpers and there are four houses in a row that they service.  They’re basically an assembly line and can get through all four in about 30 minutes.  It’s quite the operation.  I feel lazy not cutting my own grass but they cut, edge, blow and bag which would take me about two hours.

The realism in this comment makes me very happy to live in a place where I don’t have to be around people like this.

Backpack two-stroke leaf blowers are the worst. Not only are they fucking obnoxious to listen to, they are extremely dirty. How about just picking up a damn rake, broom or electric blower?

If you told me it had already happened, I’d believe it though.

There is an urban legend, I’ve even seen it repeated on this very site, that there are these nefarious criminal gangs trying to lure people out of their houses by doing things like turning into driveways, or ringing doorbells, or asking for help, and then their hidden accomplices will rush you and try to rob you. If

I’m saying that. I will not even consider a car that doesn’t have phone projection.

Yeah this is about subscriptions. What he isn’t saying in public yet is that the plan is for everything to be locked content, and he thinks people will just pony up the $30/month plus $10 here and there, and GM will be rolling in that sweet horizontal money. It will be a worse system and cost more, but they'll try

Washington State has made it mandatory by law that wages have to be posted on every job opening now. I wish it were nationwide.

It’s slowly starting to happen. Colorado requires job posting have salaries (or a reasonable range) posted. Now, this is new, and the law also doesn’t have a ton of teeth, so compliance is a mixed bag...but hopefully that improves over time.

In the states that do require it, companies either say you’ll earn between $1 and $1 million dollars for the role, or straight-up tell applicants from those states - in the ad - that they’re not eligible to apply.

Also, you can’t be expelled for the same offense twice.  Re-elect Pearson and Jones and their first act could be to protest protset on the house floor. Again.

Has Clarence Thomas “vacationed” with any billionaires in Idaho?

It’s truly harrowing. Jones and Pearson are truly powerful presences— and one democratic lawmaker spoke out in defense of Jones pointing that out. That Republicans are just scared of them and what they represent. I truly think the Republicans were just looking for any excuse to try to get rid of them, and jumped at

A a teacher who is constantly spending my own money to supply my classroom in order to try and close the COVID learning gaps and also provide social emotional support because our school has no social worker, and also buy food because so many students come to school hungry, and spend all my weekends planning lessons

I cannot even begin to imagine the trauma I would endure if I had to shoot a teen I had been teaching and supporting a week ago, as well as the trauma my students would endure watching me kill their peers in defense of their lives. And I will never understand the disconnect/compartmentalization some educators could

So you’re just going to accept her statement on the matter as the truth, huh? It’s not like she’s ever been caught lying in public statements.
