Man, that first Ex Machina Final Panel reveal was something else. That book started off so strong and ended so weak. Just rushed and unearned at the end.
I need to watch this again. Your GIF gives me goosebumps.
They’re fine, and seltzer water (hard or soft) is all the rage now. I wish they had more booze in them.
So that whole Homer Simpson thing describes my Father in Law to a T. Mind-blowing actually.
I just rewatched this the other day. I think it might be one of the greatest movies of all time. Between this and T2, Cameron successfully created two of the greatest action movies of all time and certainly two of the greatest sequels of all time.
This was very much a “slight” show. I remember liking the book but I think I also thought it was “slight.”
I have a giant list of new movies and TV shows to watch, but then I end up watching some movie from the 80's that I watched a million times as a kid, like Ghostbusters of Raiders of the Lost Ark.
I also took a trip to Fairmount, IN. Not because of James Dean, but because of the “Suedehead” video.
When I first watched it I was put off by Shelley Duvall’s performance in it. When she was “running” from Jack it looked so nonchalant as if she wasn’t really running for her life. The rest was fine, but her running just took me right out of it.
When I see pics of these Britrockers I wonder if they all go to the same barber. There’s not many distinguishing haircuts between the lot of them.
Sadly the questions are never answered. More research is needed.
It came out about a month before I turned three so I probably didn’t see it during it’s initial run. But I saw it really early as it was one of those movies that I saw before I started forming memories. I’ve always “known” this movie if you know what I mean. This and Empire Strikes Back. From Empire I recall being…
Raiders final scene is so awesome and horrific. I don’t remember when I first saw this movie, but I know I was very young. My little brain focused on Indy screaming “Don’t Look Marian” while keeping his own eyes tightly closed. I thought that the reason they were spared was because the ghosts could only get you if…
I bought the Final Fantasy tactics album a few years back because I love that game so much. So many fond memories are stirred when I listen to it. Final Fantasy VII will probably bring up some memories as well, but back in the day when I played that game a lot I would also listen to Pinkerton by Weezer. So that album…
Please be true.
Oh man, “The Monitor” is a fucking masterpiece. I love that album so much. Unfortunately nothing else of theirs really hit me even close to how “The Monitor” hit me. There’s some good on “The Most Lamentable Tragedy.” but as Lawfella says it’s overlong and uneven.
I saw Jay & Silent Bob Strike Back the weekend after 9/11. Not exactly a great time to see a dumb comedy. Once it came out on video I was able to enjoy bits and pieces of it. It’s not a good movie by any means. I used to really enjoy Kevin Smith, but now I look back with a bit of embarrassment at it all.
Just mold the rubber suit to have muscles. It worked for Michael Keaton.
I agree with you generally about most class movie viewings, but he was really into it. Offering running commentary. And considering the movie is well over three hours long it must have taken a few days to watch. Periods only being about an hour or so long.
