That’s why I am calling it pretty fucking ridiculous.

If you miss it, you can always check out Mr. Rabin’s Happy Place webpage, where just last week a piece on Waiting brings up “Gay Panic.”

Returns also has a Penguin armed with a rocket-launcher, and Batman “scratching” the recording of Penguin’s “Played this City like a Harp From Hell.”

From the Trailers that movie is just begging for a Techno/Industrial soundtrack.

Batman Forever turned me off of the Batman franchise so much that even 21 years later I have yet to see Batman & Robin. The few bits of it I have seen look so cheap and bad and cheesy.

When my kid was three we started listening to Roger Miller. I had heard “Do-Wacka-Do” on the show Raising Hope and started listening to Miler myself, and somehow my daughter ended up loving it. She was also big into They Might Be Giants at that age since I always listen to them. Now that she’s nearly eight she is on

Vague spoiler comment:

Such a fantastic song.

Nothing for me to see here except new stuff from a second wave Ska band. Around 10 or more years ago I really got into The English Beat. They really are a solid band.

Solo was a fun movie. Much like when The Force Awakens came out, it made me excited for the Star Wars brand. I want to be back in that universe. I want to buy the toys, listen to the music (currently listening to the Solo Score by John Powell), watch the cartoons, read the books, etc. The Last Jedi didn’t do that for

Right? The only thing they can do is “defeat” him but not kill him as he is already killed. It’s a bit of a letdown.

The only problem with Maul as the big bad in any of these Story movies (whether it is the announced Boba Fett movie or the unannounced Obi Wan Movie) is that Maul’s resurrection, and second (more Permanent) death in the cartoons. The closure of him as a villlain won’t (probably?) be seen on the big screen. Unless they

Man, I just watched it on YouTube and you are right. I had collected New Mutants and X-Force at the time yet for some reason I always thought it was before all that. Stupid Faulty memory.

Bought Different Class on the strength of this Song and (to me) the much Superior “Disco 2000" both of which were minor hit on the Canadian music station MuchMusic, which is how I was introduced to them. I never really got into the rest of it, or the rest of Pulp’s discography. Though I did like “Sorted for E’s anf

Even having known that Maul was a thing in the Clone Wars/Rebels cartoons, and the comics (probably) I was like WTF when he showed up at the end of Solo. It was a bold choice, considering that the average moviegoer only knows that he was “killed” nearly 20 years ago.

I was totally shocked when I saw the price of NM #98 when I looked it up after the first Deadpool movie. I had basically thought all my old 90's comics were worth nothing more than pulp.

Weren’t those Levi’s ads Spike Lee joints? I think the ad hit before Liefeld became popular.

I read somewhere that Solo is like a Biopic for the character. And if you take that approach you can appreciate beyond whether or not it is a “necessary” film.

I completely understand both sides of it. And I don’t know if it’s a good film that makes me see all the different nuances, or if it’s a bad film that I can go either way with. In the end I think the good bits outnumber the bad bits.

I agree fully. I guess their friendship is less a falling out and closer to a kind of professional, or even sibling rivalry.
