I’m right there with you. It’s like they took the 24 hour news cycle and made it the 24 hour meme cycle. I saw some random person do a grimace shake killed me Instagram story earlier tonight and I was like wtf? It’s a completely mid milkshake but it ain’t killing nobody. Then I found this article… it went from HBD to

Oh sorry, I assumed from your s/n that we might share an ethnic background. Yes Hikaru is a Japanese name, Sulu is not though, as Japanese doesn’t have a natural “L” sound. Roddenberry claimed he saw it on a map of the Philippines (the Sulu Sea). Sulu is of Japanese descent. My only umbrage with your response is that

No, that’s fair, the latter half of that list was more afterthoughts. Has there been a single DCEU main character cast that was a relatively unknown actor though? Moreover, the Rock has been cast as Ancient Egyptian / Bedouin (?) previously (not saying it’s right, just pointing out it happened). I acknowledge your

Agreed, the DCEU had some inspired casting with the Trinity, Aquaman, HQ, Shazam, Black Adam… Dr. Fate? I feel like I’m still missing a few, but the films for the most part didn’t reflect the same quality.

In the past 5 years, I’ve might’ve paid for 3 months total of ad free All Access/PP while there’s an active Star Trek season, every time I quit they give you 2 months free and every 3 months of so, they’ll email you with a month free code trying to promote some new series/season or sport. They don’t have a cap on

Wtf, I haven’t even watched the second half of season one yet… oh that probably didn’t help.

Not that I care, but for those that do, maybe with the way Gizmodo is set up these days (at least on mobile) with the “watch this” and “here’s articles related to this article” shouldn’t SANDWICH the SPOILER WARNING graphic.

Ohhhh, I was not paying attention during that S2 episode of Disco, I thought everything Pike saw was in the future so Talos IV or whatever hadn’t happened yet. That totally clears up my timeline confusion with the Enterprise interior and the doctor from back then. I just really did not enjoy the first two seasons of

While I knew the constraints of canon, which long time fans of the franchise are burdened with knowing, this episode did a great job of making it feel like Una could lose. If you think about any of the previous courtroom episodes logically, none of them could end with a main character getting imprisoned, so the

I am aware, I watched the video unlike the author of this article. My main concern was that they ended Let’s Do This after a decent 20 episode run, and there’s been a slew of decent unscripted (or semi-scripted) series on the main channel like the Funerals, Interviews with Exes, and the Reunions that were pretty

Uh… Smosh is not a Let’s Play channel… Smosh Games is barely a “Video Game Let’s Play” channel… but the whole Ian and Anthony reuniting and buying back Smosh is so they can do sketches again, which is what Smosh was. Honestly, it was kind of hitting a stride again with their programming, Let’s Do This was f*ing insane

Have you tried building a box around yourself to trap them in? I saw someone do it after I updated, but essentially they had built themselves a cage with a fan at the bottom so they could stay in the air but confine fairies long enough that it wouldn’t fly away immediately. Don’t remember the exact build though, but I

I’m looking forward to this reskin of Splash Mountain, it’s time. I rode it for the last time last month at Disneyland and they kind of just speed you through it (which annoyingly gets a lot of water in the log before you get to the big drop), half the parts/animatronics (if not more) are dark. Having rode the new

I mean they still have four episodes left to get back to each other…

You’re right, the thing that threw that movie out of balance were all those gd Dutch angles. Phase 1 was a simpler and more experimental time though, I miss it sometimes.

That’s a good way to look at it, it was out of balance. The first two movies were too serious, this one was too silly, Ragnarok managed to hit that sweet spot. I’d take the too much fun over the first two any day though.

Eventually we’ll get to the point where they’ll stop mining 80s sci-fi for inspo for new products, but today isn’t that day.

With the Millennial need to not talk to people on the phone, live voicemail transcription is a godsend. Also, about f-ing time we can leave FaceTime voicemails. Hope the AirPods turning the volume down when talking only applies to my conversations, because that would be great, but suck if any talking in my direction

Agreed, I was starting to think I was face blind or something because all I saw was a white woman with bangs as anything near Taylor Swift.

The Kyoshi novels (or at least one of them) were free on Audible at one point so I picked it up and loved both books. Was waiting for the second Yangchen novel to come out before diving in so I didn’t have to wait. I do hope they continue the series, the writing and story so far has been quite enjoyable.
