I feel like the $50/year should at least buy you some exclusivity to getting those N64 controllers first, what’s the point of having the expansion pack if you can’t play it with the most iconic Nintendo controller?

Maybe it’s just me, but my Switch version of Mario Kart 64 seems to be playing differently than my Wii VC copy, as I just played through the 50cc cups solo and had 2 CPUs on my ass every race. I don’t remember that happening on the Wii or 64 (although I guess I’m used to the Mario Kart 8+ now and could just be…
Don’t do that Zack, don’t you give me hope!! Even if they just release it in Europe, the N64 app currently has the ability to choose from European releases in the settings here in the US… could they possibly be attempting a workaround for the rights? At least until the rights all gets figured out?
Thank you for clarifying that, I didn’t care to read anything about the Meta name change, just was looking at the comments here and memes yesterday.
Will you not need a Facebook account to use it because you’ll need a Meta account to use it? Only half joking here…
Ah, I may have confused that with the PS3 release. Sigh, I hope they managed to preserve the OSTs for this Definitive Edition.
Oh yeah, or even just not knowing quick commands on the keyboard, like alt + tab is the most beneficial thing to know to increase productivity, but that’s something almost every “casual” user doesn’t know about. I thoroughly believe that if you use a computer, you should know how to navigate it via only a keyboard…
Wow cool take and all, but the versions in the online stores weren’t the OG versions either, they had upgraded graphics from the 10th Anni rerelease. The only way to play the original (to my knowledge) is to have them on disc, which I do, but even my backwards compatible PS3 has kicked the bucket at this point.
That’s interesting, I live alone and more in a suburban to rural city, and I frequent Costco for certain items, mostly meat and snacks. But I remember my aunt and uncle who lived in the SF area had a Costco that always seemed like it was more expensive than mine in a different part of California (not to mention way…

I mean, they go so far as to state that Easter Egg has had its new meaning since the late 1970s? I think they’re just making a dictionary guide for people that haven’t been using these terms since the 90s.
I once made a coworker cry because I corrected her Latin… we had a product that had a Latin name and I just mentioned it after she had finished with a customer and I had heard her say it wrong. And it was just an off-hand, “hey, it’s actually pronounced Mare, not mare (like a horse), it’s Latin for sea,” just as like…
Counterpoint, I just introduced someone 10+ years older than me (in their mid to late 40s) to the idiom, “with bated breath.” He had gone his whole life without hearing that somehow.
I’d like to point out that the Xillennial side of Gen-X are on the “digital native” side of that stupid classification system, which I call stupid because Millennials can remember a time prior to the internet, Windows, and when Macs were POS, and therefore are not entirely native to the digital landscape.
I’d wager half a season
Wow, end of an era
No new Penny Arcade this week?
I didn’t watch the direct yesterday bc Idgaf about AC and missed this drop of the N64 controller and it’s already sold out. Why tf does Nintendo always do this? Not have enough stock to satiate day 1 demands. This clearly isn’t as big of a scalping problem (compared to the OLED Switch) due to needing the Online…
They’ll probably prioritize people who have bought a lot of games through PSN though, and maybe even your current amount of playtime.
Dot as Cheetarah… that’s gonna make a lot of people… happy…
