Wow that makes so much sense for both movies. I remember they cut MJ, but didn’t know about the Russian.

Yes, thank you
Wow, really? That’s a hot take.
I mean I saw that interview with Andrew Garfield where we tactfully said, they assassinated Peter’s character in favor of what they thought would make money. If that’s in the ballpark? But I mean, do you remember the interviews with the core 3 on the press tour for Spider-Man 3? Everyone was still riding the hype…
They did it so Peter can watch the recording of her speech at the end of the movie and get the motivation to move on without her and be Spider-Man again. Just lazy screenwriting.
Definitely agree to disagree. I have to say, I’ve always thought of Sandman as the extraneous villain in that movie, mostly because it had to retcon the first movie to force him into the story and if you pull out the Harry and Venom stories it would just be a boring cookie cutter superhero movie and wouldn’t build…
If you’re claiming SM3 wasn’t a cash grab as well, c’mon son, watch those cast interviews again. It wasn’t to the extent that ASM2 was, but still. And if you’re arguing that camp is better than terrible set-ups for future installments in the franchise... I think we all lose. They were both 2.4 hours long, they were…
I don’t think that would give enough variation in gameplay honestly. Once you get into it, the mechanics feel pretty similar to playing Mario just with extra randomized baddies. IMHO, adaptation is a better show of skills in a competition game like this than pure memorization of optimal routes.
I enjoyed it for the 10 minutes I played it before getting bored. Made it to second place.
Idk, I feel like a lot of the emotional pay-off was due to how good the second movie was and the charm of the first. SM3 is bloated and filled with terrible and unnecessary moments and only rewards you in the last 5 minutes out of 2 hours and 20 minutes. ASM for me wasn’t as good as SM1&2 but better than ASM2 and SM3.…
Then that is your fault for subjecting yourself to BvS enough to gain an appreciation for terrible movies.
Uhm, Spider-Man 3 was the worst Spider-Man film with ASM 2 close behind.
I don’t think it was mentioned, but the new Doctor Who book comes out today that’s a part of the Time Lord Victorious event.
Idk, he looks too young now for the Peter in game. But to be fair, I felt like PS4ter was a bit too old (and had doofy hair). Seems like an over correction on multiple fronts. Don’t really care though, game looks good on PS5, almost (ALMOST) worth getting a PS5 as soon as they’re available since the pre-orders have…
Kamala and Miles have been my favorite new additions to the superhero pantheon in the last decade, and Sony finally did Miles some justice in Spiderverse, so I know the actual MCU is going to do good things with her. Just based off of the trailer for WandaVision I have a good feeling about these Disney+ tv shows.
That makes sense, as (at least in the anime) it appears both Pokémon “evolve” when the slowpoke is bit, so it would make sense that the portion of the Pokémon that is/was shellder looks similar to a Cloyster... even if there originally was a different Pokémon that was the biter.
Hey Mike, you accidentally wrote 2006 instead of 1996 for the tv series premiere. I’m pretty sure I wasn’t about to graduate high school when I watched that series.
Same. It’s like that time in Community when Abed pitches Shirley his concept for a movie about god and she’s like, “that sounds very interesting... to filmmakers.”
I’m screening movies for a film festival and had to watch something with an almost similar premise but instead of a blue collar guy it was a screenwriter/terrible improv actor trying to sell a tv show... and the person who travels back to help him save the world is his son. It wasn’t great.
Some jackhole on a YouTube comments section was claiming Disco was cancelled after S3, and I’m like they’re not canceling their flagship Trek show. And then he said something about Picard being a failure and I then realized he was one of those Red Pill types who have been watching the whiny sexist TrekTubers complain…
