Except you don’t need to have seen any of the rest. The movie tells you flat out who everyone is and what they’re doing there. “You have to do homework” is a lie.

Just saw it. Unfortunately I believe the more middling reviews for this are correct. It’s fine, but nothing special and certainly flawed.

“we got a gaming system to parent our kid and now he’s fat and stupid!” - these terrible parents probably.

While that is certainly unfortunate, at least three of the games mentioned are meant for an age group above that of the child. So you can cross those off the list of “marketed to children”.  And ultimately this goes back to personal responsibility, which is at the heart of any addiction.  Nobody put a gun to your head…

Good pick, but personally I’d recommend watching Gopher’s playthrough, as he does not have any distractions, such as face cam, nor any interaction with a chat etc. Just him and the game. Much more immersive, which is something I like better for these types of games.
