Poison Trap gets insane once you unlock the Paragon Board for traps. You can melt entire mobs and finish the stronger ones off with imbued weapons. I was running Puncture for basic damage but Invigorating Strike with the upgrade that makes enemies Vulnerable is too good to ignore, especially with the right armor

“Critics” paid to prop up an industry embroiled in a union strike are propping up said industry? Who would have guessed?

Prince of Persia was groundbreaking for its time because it captured the fluidity of human movement in a way that few other games attempted. Another World and Flashback tried to replicate it, albeit in a sci-fi setting, but they didn’t hit the same. I don’t think Karateka had enough of an impact on gaming to warrant

I don’t feel even the slightest bit guilty about preserving games like Capcom’s Alien vs. Predator on an SSD. I’m not going to deny myself the ability to play the games I grew up with because they’re stuck in intellectual property hell. Even the games that are still physically available and playable on retro hardware

The problem with “content creation” is that creators will throw everything at the wall to see what sticks. So far I’ve seen a video of the Miranda character in blackface, a video of her mocking Asians with a “Gangnam Style” parody, a skit where she implies her uncle molests her while tucking her into bed.

Right? It’s like I can’t play Spiderman, Horizon, Last of Us or the recent Final Fantasy remasters (to name a few), but I don’t complain because it’s not worth it, to me, to buy a Playstation simply to play exclusives. I already turn on my Switch maybe once every two years because their exclusives seem to come out on

When the Switch was my only console, I attempted to play Apex Legends. It’s completely unplayable with cross play enabled because the draw distance and frame rate on the Switch make it impossible to spot enemies in the distance before they see you. I can only imagine Call of Duty will be a similar experience, where

Nice! I’ll give the capstone dungeon a shot then.

Nah. It IS indeed Goldenloin.

I played non-stop for maybe a week after release and then sporadically after that. I got my Rogue to level 65, did all the fog and altars, and ran a few nightmare dungeons. It’s fine. But then Powerwash Simulator fixed all the achievements that broke in a recent Xbox update, so I’m taking a break.

If Joaquin’s Napoleon doesn’t say, “It vexes me. I’m terribly vexed,” then I’m not watching it.

I watched this with my kids. While the story beats will feel awfully familiar to anyone with decades of movie watching under their belts, Nimona definitely stands apart for its characters and animation. The visual language feels different from anything the Disney/Pixar/Dreamworks machines have churned out. And it is

Same. A three-hour “horror” movie about the invention of a WMD and a two-hour commercial for Mattel that gaslights you into ignoring that fact by being cheeky and self-effacing? I’ll stay home.

I loved the first three John Wick movies, but the fourth was borderline unwatchable. It was overlong, with drawn-out expository scenes bookmarking by the numbers action set pieces. Yet, if you look at social media, it’s one of the best movies of the year.

Social media is pushing the whole “Barbie/Oppenheimer” double-feature meme pretty hard. I wouldn’t trust any impressions of the movie until it’s actually out, especially those that ooze toxic positivity.

Judy clearly says in the episode that Jesse is “gone” and she’s stuck with Kelvin. So he must be in college at that point.

I found it mildly amusing that you could customize your male/nonbinary character with an absolute meat cannon — and then never ever see it again or have it impact any of the NUMEROUS sex scenes in the game (because THAT, apparently, would be too explicit).

Good on these protestors for finding an actual reason to hang

Weird. My LG C1 hasn’t had that issue, but it has a lot of burn-in reduction features like “pixel washing,” which automatically refreshes the display. I’m also super paranoid, regardless, and turn off the TV if I’m stepping away for more than a few minutes.

No. Once you complete the campaign once with any character, all subsequent characters have the option to skip it and jump right into the leveling/loot grind.
