Far Cry 6 was at its best when the game didn’t take itself seriously. The Rambo DLC mission, for example, was the best thing in the entire game. And the bow you get just dumps on helicopters. I thought the ending to the main campaign was way too grimdark for how cheesy the rest of the story was.

This game is absolutely gorgeous on the Series X, but every time I tried to play it on Game Pass, I found the story incomprehensible and the quest system too byzantine.

I thought the original River City Girls grew tiresome right around the midway point. There’s an incredibly frustrating battle with a fashion designer, which took me somewhere in the neighborhood of 20 attempts, followed by a brawl with a classic Double Dragon character, which I beat on the second attempt.

Same. My parents would park by the mall food court, hand me $10, and then watch me long enough to see me descending on the escalator toward the arcade. They’d come looking for me 1-2 hours later. That’s a little different, however, from leaving your kids in a cramped retail space. I’ve never seen a GameStop I’d

I’m gonna join the chorus and say that I don’t always need games to be deep time sinks with heavy lore. I’ll take a visceral experience that’s over in 10 hours over an epic game that takes 100+ hours, 9 out of 10 times. The story has to be really, really good for me to remain invested for long periods of time (Witcher

I got the new 8bitDo controller at release and one of the center buttons simply stopped working after 3 months. Since then, I’ve had an Elite 2 that lasted 6 (one of the trigger stops on the back literally snapped off). I don’t remember EVER breaking a controller when I was a kid. The cheap controllers suck. The

The original G4 worked because YouTube, and streaming content in general, didn’t exist. I was in college at the time. Anyone old enough to remember the original G4 is probably too old to care about the revival. And those too young have YouTube, Twitch, etc. There was no need for this revival, and I’m not sure who

Yeah, I really thought all the hacking/espionage stuff was going somewhere, but it ended up being a hanging thread. The series, as a whole, would be so much better without the modern day stuff.

I picked the dude and regret it, but I’m too far into the game to bother restarting.

The modern day stuff was objectively the worst part of Black Flag. I’m playing through Odyssey, and it’s clear they designed the “it’s a simulation” sequences as an afterthought. You can skip dialogue and be back in the ancient world in under a minute.

The Yappening is the best thing to come out of this game since release. By that metric, the future is looking bright. If 343 is smart, they’ll AT LEAST keep BTB Fiesta. As it is, I completed the entire event in one week and still plan to play this week because the events are that much fun.

People who care way more about split screen co-op than I do have played through the majority of the game using an exploit, and there only seems to be a handful of bugs. Which makes the decision to cancel it all the more perplexing.  At least The Yappening event is super fun and absolutely chaotic — so, naturally, all

Because she keeps showing up in my FYP, I decided to Google her Warzone stats. Like every other big streamer looking to make “clips” for their channels, she’s clearly using a VPN to get 1.0 k/d lobbies. I’m not seeing a single lobby above 1.3. Is she better at Warzone than most people? Probably. Is she intentionally

The treatment she’s getting is completely uncalled for, but almost every popular streamer uses VPNs to trick MMR into giving them trash lobbies to dunk on for their highlight videos.

These online shooters are tons of fun for the first few months, but it’s misery once the sweats leave. Vanguard became a joyless experience for me after a while because I just kept getting stomped. Halo Infinite is sweaty, too, but I’m at least competent enough not to embarrass myself.

It’s such a chill little game. The combat system somehow manages to be wonkier than Tunic’s, but Garden Story is far less challenging.

I think he’s entertaining in small doses, but I’ve never donated to the guy or tried to interact with his rabid fanbase. He already has enough money. But I also think that asking fans to fund your game for a chance to play test isn’t the apocalypse. If the game actually ends up being good, I’ll check out the
