The big problem is that the Split Pad doesn’t have a gyroscope or accelerometer,. so no Splatoon or anything else that uses motion controls 🫤

I’m getting the one with the zaddy professor
I mean yeah, as a gay man I totally agree about how horrible online gaming can be, but I don’t see how friend codes solve that problem. Most of the horrible behavior is in open voice chat in games, not with people trying to contact each other via user names. The lack of messaging, parties, and easy voice chat are what…
But it’s not looking like you can customize the Pokemon or choose the hats. To my understanding, each Pokemon will have specific variants that you need to catch, so you can’t just stick a fountain on any Pokemon you want
Yeah Pokemon were big, but almost all of the Gigantamax Pokemon were really cool and well designed! And there were nearly as many Gigantamax Pokemon as mega Evolutions, so I don’t think you can put SwSh down on that count
Since they added missions and rewards, I drop into the Switch Online icon now and again to check if there are any special missions to get platinum points. (usually something like “play this SNES game,” and all you have to do is open the game for a second) And you can make some cute custom icons too!
Hopefully they have a scaling system in place, and hopefully it’s more than just higher level Pokemon
Still bummed that it looks like you have to battle wild Pokemon to catch them. It was so much more engaging and more interesting in Arceus. (yeah yeah I know Arceus was a spin off, no need to reiterate) Now I’m just praying that they make another Legends game. It seems obvious given the sales, but with Nintendo and…
I actually really like the news section! It’s a nice way to find out about sales, and some developers actually deliver worthwhile updates/blog posts. And Nintendo usually has a few cute articles a month about upcoming games.
Microsoft is in it for the talent and the IP, which are well worth the asking price. I don't see much reason for them to back out TBH.
Don’t think it’s particularly weird . Seemed like “tax on people who don’t understand probability” suggested that... people who play the lottery don’t understand probability. And the vast majority of people who play the lottery are poor. But I’ll take your word for it.
I can’t say I’ve ever used the main search bar, but yeah the one in the PS store seems fine
What makes it not a game?
Kind of disappointed there wasn't a Diablo comparison in here lol
I take issue whenever people say things like this, because it suggests that poor people—the overwhelming majority of lottery players—are stupid.
Wow, Some Sword, Some Play is really good! The writing is concise and cute, the story is actually rather engaging, and the sex scenes were really well done—gave you a lot of agency while still making each encounter feel genuine. I hope they make a sequel!
I know this is par for the course for gacha RPGs, but there was just way too much inventory management for me to get into it. Styles, equipment, upgrading skills... There was just so much minutiae I had to keep track of before I got to the actual combat, and I totally bounced off. 🫤
It’s really weird that Kotaku transcribed it in all caps when it’s clearly just an all-caps font. The post on Twitter looks far less yell-y than the transcription lol
I think your comparison is poor in the general, but this is Overwatch’s minor league, which receives pitiful amounts of funding, so the comparison isn't very good specifically either. 🫤
