I mean, we all have great anecdotes, that doesn’t mean we brush off evidence lol

I mean, these things have always been risks—the majority of people just never experienced the negative result and so assumed it was risk-free. Or they experienced a negative result, but didn’t realize the cause, and chalked it up to random illness/old-age/etc.

lol okay the article literally says, “A few chips or one single bite of a hot dog won’t make your dog sick right away, but yeah it’s mad alarmist

Anyone compare it to Stadia, stability-wise?

“I wasn’t actually comparing the features between the two systems.”

I think it’s 100% Sony’s problem, because if it was easy for developers to implement, we’d see it everywhere. I don’t think Square Enix has a problem spending sufficient resources—it’s clear that there’s a systemic issue that causes these problems.

For free to play games, I imagine it'll be pretty successful.

Yeah, in a month or so Paladins is launching optional in-game ads that give you currency and other (yet to be specified) benefits. Can’t say I terribly mind in a free to play game.

It’s really amazing how this site has kept its identity over so many years. The writers have always just... fit in so well with the tone and tenor here.

The reason I love Kotaku, I think, because it's still Kotaku even after almost everyone has changed. Ship of Theseus indeed.

I’ve just never heard of DLC costing different amounts depending on where/when you bought the original content.

I just want to say that I fucking LOVE the Kotaku community. As a brown-skinned, LGBTQ+, son-of-immigrants American, I feel more safe and welcome here than at any other gaming site, and the comments here remind me why. ❤️ yall

You needed to have the saves on the cloud and manually sync your saves, but many (if not most) games let you sync from the same page you loaded and saved from—and you obviously didn’t need to have both versions on the same machine.

I think a game dropping in price over time is markedly different from charging people more for DLC if they bought the game on PS4. The problem is price differentiation for a piece of content at MSRP, not reduced prices/incrased value over time.

You sound rather aggressive considering we’re on the same side ^_^;

Sorry, I’m not going to “tolerate” people who want to deny me marriage, health care, or a variety of other rights.

I like it in general, but publishers really need to take the changes into account when designing covers. Like, the “STANDARD” bar on the Forza cover would look fine on the old design, but it looks quite awkward on the new one. And the Halo cover needs a bit more padding above the logoso it doesn’t directly abut the

Eh, if anything, a decent demo could have mitigated the damage from such a terrible trailer. Sure, a bad demo would just compound the damage, but at this point it’s the only hope they have lol

I’d be more open to that idea if the trailer wasn’t taking itself so seriously. Like, shitposts are self-aware, and there was none of that here lol
