There are most certainly better examples of disobeying authority to do the right thing, Tim. Maybe get a PR person to scan your copy next time

I’m so pumped that third party developers are actually using the Dualsense, and in multiplatform games to boot. Things could always fall off post-launch, of course, but I’m feeling much more optimistic than I was a few weeks ago.
Not to mention the money.
PS4 owner who is sooooooooo jelly of the Elite. I was placated by the Back Button Attachment, and now I’m terrified of getting a PS5 where I won’t have the back buttons.
(This comment ended up way longer than I intended lol, sorry. tldr is that I think in many ways, Sony has made it harder for people to play games because they have a grand vision for how things could be better, and I’m not super optimistic that Sony will change course because they often sound out of touch.)
Insta is owned by FB, so licenses with FB might cover Insta. That, or videos on Insta tend to be quite short, so the RIAA isn’t too pressed about clips there so long as FB is paying for rights on FB Gaming.
Yeah, none of these are deal breakers, it’s just frustrating to see MS care so much about the user experience, while Sony is over here like, “Oh yeah we actually wanted it to be bigger!!!!”
I mean, Smart Delivery isn’t anything special, it’s just shorthand for “we’ll always install the appropriate version of a game for you.” The problem is that, while Microsoft has taken great pains to ensure this happens and to let you know which version of a game you’re playing, the PS5 is installing PS4 versions of…
Oh also, the whole thing about Smart Delivery is that you get the appropriate version for your device, so theoretically the PS5 would detect if you have a PSVR attached and would prompt you to download the PS4 version for the VR compatibility.
I’m definitely a Sony Crony (I’ve never had an Xbox and I don’t plan to get this one), but when I look at the Series X I’m kinda jealous about how... finished it seems. It also just seems so consumer friendly, between smart delivery and quick resume.
Yeah, seems like Ncsoft and Harmonix are trying to look out for players a bit, which is nice. RIAA finally trying to get in on this new-fangled streaming -_-
Yeah, I can see activities being awesome for jumping directly into a queue in Overwatch or something, but in single player games I don’t think I’ll use them too often.
Aww, thanks! 😅I figure it’s always better to err on the side of kindness lol
Interestingly, they specify that VODs should only be on FB, Youtube or Insta—and the wording suggests that it’s only because they might get taken down elsewhere, even if Ncsoft doesn’t care. A nice bit of shade at Twitch, basically lol
I’m pretty sure you’re being facetious, but just in case...
For all the amazing things the PS5 is doing, it seems to have been either rushed or poorly thought out. (Considering the amount of money on the line, I imagine it’s the former.) Most of these things were solved on the PS4 and remain solved on Xbox—why aren’t they already here?
I mean... The flip side is that activity cards only allow you to jump to specific points in the game, and not where you left off. Yeah, you can go directly to whichever mission or mode you want, but most people don’t play games by jumping from mission to mission, they play in a linear fashion.
holy cannoli I love that Galaxy one!
I mean... Yes? Couldn’t the same be said for any game that has major patches?
Eh, I respect this kind of thing. They’re at least trying to make it right. I’m not about to go out and get XIII, but I’ll keep an eye on the developer and see what they do next.
