  • President Barack Obama was the only celebrity smart enough to turn down a cameo in the Entourage movie and now I’m suddenly feeling patriotic. [TMZ]

Is she a high risk pregnancy? Home birth (if assisted by a midwife, etc.) should be no more or less dangerous for a low risk woman than hospital birth.

Yes, MADONNA IS TERRIBLY DESPERATE. Let’s count the ways: She’s RICH. She’s smart. She’s gorgeous. She has a beautiful family. She has everything she ever wanted and what we all want. RIGHT...she’s desperate! That’s your sexism and ageism speaking. Oh, and she has endless TOYBOYS!!! Oh, how I feel so sorry and sad for

Wow. That's crazy, I can see it making sense that you need to have a certain percentage of first degree relatives with the history to qualify for testing, but requiring an absolute number is madness. People would big families would qualify much, much more often on a per capita basis. Good luck with your journey!!!

23andme also tests for some (not all) SNPs on the BRCA1 gene. That's $100. Only thing is, they don't provide the interpretation. But you could interpret yourself, or take the results to a specialist.

Good luck to you!

I have the BRCA1 mutation too and I have had the surgeries. While yes it's true that removing breasts and ovaries does not completely remove the risk, it lowers it considerably.
