I’d put it in the back of my GTI to make it AWD. I’d connect it to the rear wheels with Golf R spindles and hubs and mount it in a modified Golf R rear subframe.
That’s cool, enjoy what you enjoy. Also note that nobody is up Ryborg’s ass in here, he’s complaining about “people” without pointing to anybody specific.
Right, but some of us watch racing because we’re interested in the racing, not in the human drama. I don’t really care if two drivers are beefing, as far as I’m concerned that’s just nonsense they talk about to fill air time while they’re not calling a race.
Yeah man, I had a 2007 Camry with the 2GR-FE and it always seemed like such a huge missed opportunity that Toyota never developed a sports car to drop it into. I’m guessing they could have figured out how to get the 86 the “Celica Supra” treatment by making it a touch larger and put a hot version of the 2GR in it.
Ironically online racing tends to be more entertaining to watch because real equipment isn’t on the line, so people can take greater risks and the only potential drawbacks are people getting angry and screaming at one another in voice chat.
I doubt any gamer could finish a lap in a real race.
I guess at ~$45k I’d give this car a look, if only because it’s an alternative to the Mustang and Camaro. But the fact that it’s a BMW is hugely negative in my eyes as I have a pretty low opinion of the company’s products. If they insist upon having other companies develop their sports cars for them, go with GM’s…
Fuck Trump.
Does it have a turbocharger?
I grew up with the Casa Gallardo commercials in the St. Louis area. I think the chain is dead now.
Yup, same here. Wheels get slid under the car and the jack gets placed under another hardpoint somewhere (front or rear subframe, if possible); not bearing any load, but in a place where it could save my life if a jack collapsed.
I don’t much like Jerry Seinfeld so it’s no big loss to me.
I’ve read that Harbor Freight’s hydraulic floor jacks are actually pretty decent. I don’t have one, but apparently they compare favorably to Snap-On jacks.
Seriously. 20 years ago when I got my Craftsman setup that was a big reason why I went with the brand. Thankfully it was all high enough quality that I haven’t really needed to use the warranty, so the stuff I have will probably actually last a lifetime.
To be fair, you should never trust your life to any hydraulic floor jack, Harbor Freight or otherwise.
Craftsman tools are still decent. I don’t know if they’d be my first choice for home garage use anymore, but in general I don’t think you could go wrong with most of their products.
I guess. But that was when the Turbo had a turbo. Now they have Turbos that don’t have turbos so we don’t know what does or does not come equipped with a turbo. They may as well all have turbos, or not have turbos, no matter what badge is on the car. Turbo.
Sure, but that was when the Turbo had a turbo. Porsche marketers were like “well shit, if computer companies think it’s cool to slap a ‘Turbo’ badge on a piece of tech that isn’t equipped with a turbo, maybe we can put a Turbo badge on a piece of tech that doesn’t have a turbo.”
