Yeah certainly, I'm not trying to hate on the Camaro. If you like them more I wouldn't try to convince you to even sit in the Ford. I've always liked the car, but I don't have a dog in this fight. If I were to buy one or the other I'd evaluate both without any major biases going in. But if I were to buy one right

Mustang, Focus ST, Focus RS, Fiesta ST, GT, Taurus SHO

Vs.

Camaro, Corvette, SS

I did an experiment last night. I went to Autotrader and searched for all brand new V-8 Mustangs and Camaros equipped with manual transmissions in a 500 mile radius from me. Then I set the filter to “sort by least expensive.”

The cheapest Mustang GT was going for $28,XXX. The cheapest Camaro was $35,XXX. I didn’t see

It goes back further than that. Pop the hatch on a third gen f-body and you’re greeted with just enough room for an overnight bag.

This. Ford has a half a dozen reasons to get me into a showroom to browse. Chevy? Not even half that.

I’ve seen a few new Camaros around and it absolutely does not come close to having the same presence as the new Mustang.

As the owner of a "sporty" car I want the technicians to actually test the car out. Open it up, run it to redline, get on the brakes hard, and take a corner or two at a quick pace. It's their job to know if something isn't right, and they know the car better than I do.

Fuck that, go full radial.

2nd generation Mazda RX-7s were the same way.

Can I put a few unpainted carbon fiber pieces on my car without getting made fun of now or is it still frowned upon? Nothing crazy, just the hood and mirror caps.

Wait...... so you mean to tell me that you've NEVER woken up in a ditch next to a highway wearing only underwear and socks?

The main problem with the EVO is the Focus RS.

This is a true statement I hadn’t thought of. No dunes where I'm at so not something I think about.

If it had an aircooled engine in the back I’d like to think that ventilation is somewhat adequate. Turbo rotary engines do run abnormally hot, but I'm guessing that unlike an RX-7 that'd you'd take to a track day you're not going to keep your foot into it for all that long.

Eaaaaast bound and down, loaded up and truckin
We’re gonna do what they say can’t be done
We’ve got a long way to go and a short time to get there
I'm east bound, watch ol' Bandit ruuuuuun!!!

Is this a statement or a question? If it was going there anyway that answers the question, but somehow I'm guessing you don't work at TACC and have any idea what you're talking about.

I wonder how it came to be that a C-5 was chosen for this mission when a C-17 probably would have been a better choice from a cost perspective.

Oh I get it, you’re a Trump supporter. That you “feel” that the cost of living has “skyrocketed” is more important to you than the actual numbers that show it hasn’t.

The problem is that 1% of the time that I need to take my car cross country. Sure, if there were an infrastructure in place that would "refuel" my electric vehicle in five minutes or less, it would work, but until then that lack of flexibility will keep me away from an electric car.

Are you making this shit up? Because historic CPI numbers haven't "skyrocketed" so much as seen a gradual increase over the years. In fact, the last 30 years have been extremely stable.
