Every time there are calls for increased fuel economy or reduced emissions people scream exactly this. Except here we are today, after decades of improvement in both areas, and the world hasn't come to an end.
It's about time this happened.
You are wrong on a level that simply cannot be corrected.
I can’t fit my wife and kid in a Z06. So clearly it’s not the right car for everyone.
If I have to explain the simple joy of mashing the throttle in a powerful with a car big engine and hearing all the noises that go with it, I’m not sure you’re on the right site.
Speed is so cheap these days “fast” by itself doesn’t really mean much to me anymore. Using top shelf parts I can have my mid 14 second econobox haunting ZL1s and Hellcats for about $8k in parts, with a total expense easily at under $20k when including the current value of the car.
Right so, that's true of everywhere in the south or in your very narrow anecdote?
You must not live in an area that has much money. Move to a location full of residents who actually have cash, and they'll care.
This. I’ve seen some truly obnoxious and over-the-top HOAs. But if you look around and choose wisely, you can get into one that’s not overbearing and enforces certain basic standards and aren't massive dickholes when you are in violation.
He could get a counter petition going. I’m sure he knows people in the local car enthusiast community that could counter that.
But, if for some reason, local laws change and ban "white trailers", if I were the individual in question I'd probably lash out by adjusting the external aesthetics of my house to actually look…
I’m with you here. I’m still rooting for them because at a core level I love them, even if I wouldn’t actually buy one. But it would be nice if they’d refresh them in a way that made them look longer and lower, rather than being so tall bodied.
I appreciate Dodge is sticking to the basic recipe of "big engine, big car"…

That's why we love them. I wish I could "I-dream-of-genie" my car to that shade of green.
Yes, if.....
The Z32 is a turbo, and has been checked out by a mechanic that knows their way around these cars. They're really fun to drive.
To be fair, it would be a true statement to say that regulations are the problem some of the time. It isn't like we lack for examples of poorly written or thought out laws. But those rules are necessary, and I'd rather have to deal with a few companies taking advantage of weaknesses in those regulations than live in a…
Hell yes I'd buy that, I can't believe the way this poll is going that looks like fun.
It’s odd to me how this car can go from good looking (to my eyes) in coupe form, to “eh, okay” in sedan form, to ugly as a hatch.
My commute got a lot less stressful when I just left open space in front of me and let cars go through it as they pleased. Yeah so maybe the guy in front of me is a douchebag.... not my problem. I'm still going to get to where I need to go in roughly the same amount of time.
Dear Roadkill,
Never change.
Sincerely,
An amused fan
I am not a truck person. If I needed a truck, this is probably the one I'd buy.
