I don't think so. I believe we've got confirmation on Andy Serkis, but I honestly don't know about von Sydow.

Probably Han. He's first billed on the poster, so they'll give Harrison Ford a big juicy role as a send off and then give him what he wanted Lucas to give him 35 years ago.

Oh yeah, keeping him in the shadows could just be brilliant marketing, no twist involved.

Part of me thinks that Kylo Ren and the masked character we've seen with Vader's helmet are two different people. One is Adam Driver, one is Luke. I don't know how they'd swing that, but they are keeping Mark Hamill off the promo material for a reason. It's especially odd considering he's second billed to Ford on the

She was a Republic senator who joined the Rebels. She gave the "many Bothans died to bring us this information" speech in Return of the Jedi. High ranking Rebel officer.

I think Starkiller Base might be something else. In the scene where there is a dogfight over the snowy planet, it looks like a Death Star style trench is carved into the planet's surface.

You don't want to know.

I will like your review with my fist raised in solidarity. I will then proceed to give it a five star review because it's Star Wars, and my critical faculties have little to no effect in such a situation.

Yeah, and they didn't come down on it either way in the OT. We know that by then there were only a few known Force users-Yoda was in hiding, Vader and Palpatine didn't exactly show it off often (which makes sense, considering how Palpatine demonized the Jedi at the end of Revenge of the Sith) and Luke was just one

It could be that the Force wasn't that widely known amongst the normal people. We've only seen things through the eyes of the Skywalkers, who are as intrinsically tied in wit the Force as anybody. Maybe the average resident of the galaxy thinks of it as a bedtime story.

The First Order is something new for the movie. It's basically the remnants/new version of the Empire.

That would be shocking, considering the amount of blowback they'd inevitably get.

It definitely seems like the Jedi have passed into legend, which is kind of odd considering it's only been 45-50 years since there was a Jedi council. However, this is a big galaxy we are talking about. I could see the Jedi deciding to remain underground, or being the victims of a post-Palpatine smear campaign. The

Noted. I suppose I owe it to myself to check out some Vince Gilligan episodes too. i

IT DOES!!!!

Oh, don't worry, I don't have near enough time to make it through nine seasons before January. But I'll pick out some good 'uns!

Yeah, I was gonna say it's beginning to sound like there's more to her than we've been led to believe. Like, she's the Yoda-esque imparter of knowledge.

That feels so wrong though!

It sounded like that was Lupita Nyong'o doing the narration, didn't it?

So does anybody want to do some analysis/breakdown/half assed theorizing?
