I've enjoyed his solo work, especially his solo live show. He's trending in a much more country/Americana direction, which I dig.
That one made me audibly go "ugggggggh".
I don't really see the two as that comparable. The White Stripes were a whole lot more eclectic and drew on a different set of influences. I like their influences more, so I like the end result more.
Not anymore!

Guys like Socrates, Charlemagne, and Decartes may have been brilliant philosophers and great men, but they never shat in an actual toilet. I've got that on them, and nothing can take that away from me.
I assume that by "awful" you mean…well, yes, awful is probably the best way to describe it.
Ewwwwww. Shireen outrage being reasonable? That's a frightening turn of events.
I don't have the time, the energy, or the inclination to tell all those people how wrong they are.
Niiiiiice.
I probably listen to the first two tracks on Achtung more than any other set of two U2 songs. That's as perfect an album opening salvo as I've heard.
I always say that anyone who doesn't like U2 will probably like Achtung Baby, so that's a good one to revisit.
