I bet your neighbors LOVE you.
I bet your neighbors LOVE you.
Beautiful car, and beautiful girl in that one picture (although I don't think I'd like it if she jumped through the window of my freshly restored car).
That was my first car, just out of college. Sadly, mine had been abused by the previous owner and wasn't nearly this nice. Thanks for the flashback!
That's like saying you love your girlfriend. Except that she has bad breath. And farts a lot. And has a nasty tendency to throw cast iron pans at your head.
Don't forget the Chevy Cruze hatchback that's coming to market.
AWD and usable back seats.
And I second your salute.
How about a used Mk6 TDI? Then you can describe how VW corporate handles Dieselgate, how the dealership's service manager treats you, how the VWoA representative treats you, what you decide to buy with your gift cards, how much Carmax would pay for your car even though it has pending recalls, and so on.

The Jetta TDI is not accidentally dangerous. That was a deliberate choice.
I owned a 2010 Golf TDI (bought new to get the Federal rebate). I sold that car after 2 years and 30k miles of grief. Trust me, these cars are not solid for 100k miles.
I wonder if they softened the ride to make that more luxurious too.
Then you’ve never worked with German engineers. All of their products are perfect. Just ask them.
Miata coupe?
Why was VW so determined to engineer urea injection out of their TDI engines anyway? Urea is cheap and doesn’t need to be added very often, right? Urea would reduce the complexity of the emissions system and make it easier to pass the EPA regulations, right?
I think Piech knew more about this scam, likely from its inception, than Winterkorn. Just because Piech wasn’t in the corner office when this went down doesn’t mean he’s innocent, and doesn’t mean he won’t get into legal trouble over this mess.
