You’re not the only one.
You’re not the only one.
You’ve obviously never owned a VW product, and have never had dealings with a VW dealership or VWoA for warranty repairs.
1st gear: The quote stating that 2009 was the only year of the rebates is untrue. I purchased a 2010 Golf TDI in March of 2010, and I got the rebate. I believe I had until the end of June to qualify for the rebate.
I wouldn’t hold your breath for that refund. Effing VW....
This. And from a financial perspective, I’m guessing that a well-maintained SS with a stick would hold its value well over time because it would be such a unicorn. I know it’s risky to expect any car to hold its value, but in the case of an SS with manual transmission, it just might.
Your story reminds me of my 2010 VW Golf TDI story. Loved it when it ran, but sold it after 2 years and 30k miles because it was a reliability nightmare.
