“Life plan: Write massively popular debut novel pandering to nerd culture. Make millions in book and movie rights. Eventually follow it up with much hyped book with single word title that starts with Ar-. Disappoint my entire fan base.” -Andy Weir and Ernest Cline, in creepy unison.
Per my more progressive friend’s Facebook page, Little Caesars has already weighed in.
“Leadership starts at the top, and this is an example of poor leadership.” says CEO of shitty, struggling pizza company.
This is the right answer. The fact that you can eat a full meal at In-n-Out for less than a comparable meal at McDonalds should tell you something.
The cult of In-N-Out is fueled by one key (if underreported) factor: It’s a perfect combination of cheap, slightly slow (for fast food), and a little bit iconic/cool, such that it becomes a very trendy place for teenagers to hang out. As anyone knows, the place where you had so many formative experiences is always…
This was my favorite moment of the episode. The pause, followed by the slow, deliberate lowering was amazing.
Laker fan here. He knows what he did.
I assume I’m not the only one who was crazy pumped to see that a full-featured NBA2K would be available on the go with the Switch version, only to repeatedly bang my head against the wall after learning it required an internet connection. Way to pull the rug out from under us. Totally defeats the purpose.
There’s a 1000% chance the team has practiced what to do in this exact situation. Even if it’s just a QB sneak or some other quick plunge type play. I have no doubt this team (or, really, any team) could execute SOME short yardage scenario in under 8 seconds.
It says not eligible for promotions. You sure that doesn’t exclude the discount?

If staying multiple nights, any thought about tipping every day vs just dropping $10 after 3-4 days? The latter is easier, but I don’t know if it’s the same housekeeper, nor how the tips may be split.
Ok, so math isn’t my strong suit. I think the point still generally stands that there are a ton of tall people in the world.
You have to factor in the fact that A) to “get lucky” with a HR requires the pitch to have some speed on it and B) the overwhelming majority of the world would not want to stand in there for more than 1-2 fastballs.
Also, 0.006% of the Chinese and 0.001% population is over 6'5", but that’s still about 7 million people…
I grew up in a pretty rich part of West LA (though not the richest). I now live a few miles from Edina. The fact that it feels kinda like home to me is, I imagine, exactly what y’all are so upset about.
I’ve parked my go to player (Downcast) at 1.25x for so long now that anytime I accidentally hear one of my favorite shows at regular speed (e.g. hearing This American Life on the actual radio) it feels uncomfortably slow. The real take-away, I guess, is that if you commit to a standard time frame, and tend to listen…
I know it’s a different thing, but has anyone tried a more augmented reality approach, like one that would show you how the furniture would look in your living room? I know a few small companies do this, but I don’t know if it’s any good.
I had never heard of this song or band before, but it just showed up 2 days ago on my Spotify discover playlist. So weird that it than drops here. Coincidence?
Who cares. Great song.
Joc Pederson leaves the game with a strained neck on Joc Pederson bobblehead night. Amazing.
You are 1000% correct. Just look at how he turns on this shoulder high 95 mph fastball. I half expect him to touch first base and then saunter back into the dugout.
