I think that both solutions are imperfect, but that giving a Wyomingan(sp?) 3x the voting power, as pointed out elsewhere, is the more imperfect of the two. Our current predicament is a perfect example why. The President should be selected based on the numbers of people that prefer them, period. We have other checks

Exactly my problem. I fail entirely to see why this is somehow seen as the more just solution given a choice between the two.

Yes, because the way it is now empty land carries voting power. One vote per person, equal no matter where they live, this seems 100% rational and fair to me. How is the current scenario any more just? We just had a minority of voters subject the majority to their will. Why should someone’s geographical location

“But I there is no joy to be had knowing that innocent people who are going to suffer...”

Like it or not, we share a country with these emboldened shitstains. They have the mic now. But yeah, fuck her.

Fastening your seatbelt isn’t muscle-memory or second nature until you’ve done it enough times. I was always 50/50 with seatbelt usage until I got my first car with a nag chime. I wasn’t against using it per se, it just wasn’t ingrained. Once I got nagged enough times, forcing me to always put the belt on, it became

The most positive thing I can say about this crash is that I’m glad it was a garbage truck so he didn’t take out any innocents. Most of us have done stupid things in cars at some point, but weaving @ 115 mph on a crowded highway is beyond the pale.

Yeah, I’m gonna go ahead and give this round to the biker. He gave back the wallet, and the phone probably survived that fall. That’s in response to an inattentive, dangerous driver with a clearly-exhibited attitude problem. Moto driver much more good Samaritan than dick. Driver just a dick.

“I’m not the city/county’s errand boy” ... I’m on your side, but good luck using that as your defense against the $500 fee they’ll charge you.

I like these, but this exact sort of use-once-discard approach to plastics is a huge huge problem.

My ported Honda Hawk GT got out of control on me once at a light in the middle of SOMA in SF. Red light, waiting, waiting, green light, go! Up around 30 (I think) an oscillation started in the front end which instantly turned into tank slapping. With zero knowledge on how to handle that situation—let go and sit back—I

I love the “waaait forrr iiiit” reveal in this story.

I mean, it looks like a 911. But yes, all 911's look awesome.

Yup, this whole article sounds way too Bernie-or-bust for my liking. We want it all or we’re burning this f****r to the ground! There are far bigger and worse targets to go after. This particular CEO just happened to put out a letter that makes for an awesomely snarky post!

I just tried it. SO DUMB. I mean come ON ...

This gif is GLORIOUS.

I’m with @theBobmanNH. If I’m forced to choose the greater dick in this scenario, it’s the Lada. The Audi driver had his blinker on as any reasonable driver would with a perfectly reasonable gap for him to change into, when La-da-douche gunned it and cut him off... making him the worse of the two offenders.

Are these cars, on average, really THAT expensive to own? My sense is that the nightmare repair bills you hear about are outliers, and that the average owner will mostly just be saddled with the cost of constantly replenishing that thirsty gas tank in addition to the required periodic maintenance. There exist
