i suspect they'll be part of the landscape of what the proximity of evil is doing to twin peaks as a whole. i think what used to be viewed as the 'quirkiness' of the town and its characters is the result of the influence of the lodges and their spirits, and because of the Bob/Mr C stuff, that influence has become

i love that lynch/frost keep the character and the actor alive in our minds by referring to him and having characters converse with him.

in the last episode of season 2, there is a transition that happens that many think is the point at which the waiting room transitions to the black lodge, and that is where 'the arm' says 'fire walk with me' and claps his hands, and there is an explosion. after that, the lights start flashing, and it is after that

but we don't know what bob allows leland to remember and for how long. in this season in particular, we see memory being played with all the time (the fbi interaction with the buckhorn vortex, jackrabbit's palace, hastings forgetting quite a bit). and right before leland died, bob was all about 'pulling the ripcord'

or, as we have seen happen before, audrey and the woman talking (who couldn't 'quite' remember if her uncle was there when the billy stuff was going down) are having shared dreams…

maybe all those cheetos from chantal ;-)

though it occurs to me that Janey-E might not have been so surprised by the in-shape Dougie (unless Mr C put on a few for a while…)

have we heard when dougie had his car accident? he apparently first came into existence in 1997 (according to the police). so maybe (1) mr c goes to see diane and finds out she has a sister (or somehow knows this because he has knowledge cooper had), (2) mr c somehow influences diane or engineers their estrangement,

so if Mr C somehow created dougie as a decoy, and that decoy happened to marry diane's sister (after Mr C visits diane), then perhaps their estrangement was part of Mr C's plan. If they were close, diane would instantly have known dougie was cooper. so Mr C perhaps directly influenced Janey-E as well.

we don't know yet if she is the 'bug' girl or what the implications of that might be, but she spent years sleeping next to Bob, who created a conduit for lodge spirits into her home (represented by the fan), so what she has become might be the result of over 20 years of living with those spirits in addition to her

right at the beginning of the scene, i thought it could be pretty sweet, and when he first started paying attention to her, a tiny smile came across her face. the sarah we know has issues, but she is an attractive woman of a certain age (and one of the things i love about this show is how it respects age).

yeah, i kept hoping someone would check the time!

yeah, people focus on her exaggerated movements, but she also does some incredible subtle things; her reaction shots seem really skillfully understated.

from 'secret history' we know that carl was kidnapped as a kid (along with the log lady and another child) in the woods, with no memory of what happened afterward, and then he (like the log lady) has shown special insight. i think they were recruited as 'watchers' for the white lodge (and maybe they were kidnapped

i loved the way he ended the original series…it left us with the horror of cooper being trapped in a way that made a lot of us keep thinking about the possibilities for over 20 years…

i thought it was a neat way for them to try to get him to admit to whatever they don't know about him yet…

they were also focusing on him holding naido's hand, so his concern for her (or that contact) might have been part of how they assessed and chose andy. with the info being aimed at bobby, i would have thought he would be the one, but his past (including murder) might have made him too corrupted (especially if where

have to rewatch, but i thought albert said she killed herself while waiting to be charged (or maybe it was waiting for trial), but also i got the impression that it was another person who had been killed by the doppelganger and the real lois was then on the hook for it (not unlike how leland was for bob, and perhaps

he seems to know everything (more than any other character besides the fireman himself), but we don't know what kind of access he has to it, or if he just senses the right thing to do. early in the series, cooper had a dream that solved laura's murder, but he didn't have access to it until a very specific moment; he

i think she employs it the way cole uses his hearing loss (which we've seen albert catch him on) and how albert uses his sarcasm, and how cooper used his almost-childlike approach to things like pie and trees and such (a favorite moment in the series is when he tweaked harry's nose). these are all elements true to
