It’s easier to sell more expensive shit because the target demographic is the 1%. They make enough to have a relative shitload of disposable income. I think that’s why we’re seeing in increase in luxury vehicles, apartment complexes, mcmansions. They might cost double to build, but have a huge profit margin. You just

They can have fun with whatever data my 25 year old Toyota and 28 year old Mazda are spitting out.

Haven’t checked Turo rates lately, which are normally all over the place, but I bet their prices have increased as well.

I just had to book a single day, 200 mile one-way rental and was seeing rates of $300+! Flying was about $175. Luckily my corporate CDP brought it down to a reasonable $46. Crazy stuff.

If it’s a state thing, then manufacturers have to meet potentially very different requirements for different states. The software development and vehicle testing per state would be an absolute mess - even if you did manage to have state specific software, then the car would have to change its configuration every time

Not going to hold my breath on this one. 20% of Congress members are over 70 years old, I bet most of those people haven’t driven themselves anywhere in 10+ years. 40% of Congress members are 60-69 years old. Wonder how in touch they are with auto driving technology, which, based on other tech legislation, can’t be not

I’m just going to leave this here. You’re welcome.

I went down the same road. Unless you need 3rd row seats or the extra interior space, the 4runner is the way to go. The cruisers are so big and heavy.

I can take apart most of my 99 4Runner with 10, 12, and 14mm sockets. It’s beautiful.

How about some middle ground? In exchange for use of the public class 4 roads, the driving school maintains them. These people are bitching just because they’re not the ones benefiting from it.

Bring A Trailer Full Of Money

Driven a few newer cars that come like this from the factory. It was fun for the first 10min, then just annoying after that to hear the crackles when coasting to a stop lol.

Every time I hear a straight piped vehicle, I can’t help but assume the owner must be absolutely overjoyed with the sound. It kind of helps with the silent rage, because most of those aren’t even tuned to take advantage of the exhaust mods. I’m all for tasty exhaust noises, but I shouldn’t have to cover my ears when

90's Monteros are pretty tough to find.

Looks like that turn bled off too much airspeed, and lead to the stall, for which the plane was too low to correct. Come on, pilot. Rip.

Just like all the hallmark holidays. No, I’m not buying shit for your made up holiday. Come on, administrative professionals day? GTFO of here with that crap.

How do they determine who is in need? Will HD be covering the sales tax for those who can’t afford that either? Tax will be $900 for NY and $1200 for VT residents.
