Cousin Johnny!

Thought the first 20-30 minutes of the Anders Holm/American Football ep were super awkward as they all seemed to be feeling each other out, but it pulled together by the end and I liked the acoustical songs.

It makes me feel good that there are people like me in their mid-30s for whom the Real World and the Challenge continue to be appointment viewing.

I assume that a sizable percentage of this band's income is from MTV playing "Huddle Formation" from Thunder, Lightning, Strike during every single Real World or RW/RR Challenge "Shit They Should Have Shown" episode from 2006-2013.

My favorite eps of the year were the Victor & Tiny podcast, Little Button Puss, and the horsefighting Calvins Twins, which ended up clumped together much further down the list than I expected behind all the same old shit. I agree with everyone else that there are diminishing returns to the repeat Wompler/Time

Wait, how is NORTH KOREA gonna blow up the local Brightleaf Mall 4 in random town, USA? This is really scaring us as a country? If i was a bald eagle I would be goddamned ashamed.

Where is that bro who always summarizes all the podcasts? Is he okay? Did he die?

How are there this many writers contributing to the end of the year list when during the year the AV Club posts so few album reviews?

I get the appeal of vinyl, and the bandwidth limitations for some that make streaming difficult or impossible, I'm just surprised DVDs continue to be so popular. How much longer do we give it before they go away entirely?

Who are the jabronis out there still buying DVDs? It's 2014. I look at my DVD shelf now and realize that with streaming video it is basically just taking up space.

Memories of CBB episodes tend to slip off into the ether for me, but I still smile thinking about (1) horse fighting ("You gotta laugh!"); the Victor/Tiny podcast; and (3) Scott ripping the dick off of Little Button Puss.

That is probably my favorite episode of 2014. "You've gotta laugh."

When I was but a wee boy, I always felt the same about Tatiana Gutsu, the Painted Bird of Odessa. I think we would have really clicked.

13. Scott, how could you so cavalierly rip the penis off Little Button Puss and throw it in the trashcan?

Worst AV Club review of all-time.

Thanks for IDing the theme song. I had no idea it was a portion of a longer work. Definitely going to check out this band.

Voodoo Tatum from Friday Night Lights!

Except we don't even know for sure that murder wasn't perpetrated by the GR themselves. I'm just saying — a cult organizes a large-scale burglary of the homes of everyone in an entire town, stealing their family mementos, one would think that would be kind of a big deal even a few weeks later and not just something

So last week's episode ends with the GR breaking into the homes of all the townspeople on like Christmas Eve and stealing all their family photos, and in this episode, that event was mentioned only once in passing while discussing a different issue. Seems like that might be a bigger deal.
