I do think that my interpretation of the final scene is the intentional one and I recommend rewatching it. There’s nothing triumphant about it. It doesn't make sense, because the 3DS is much stronger than the N64, and the graphical difference between OoT64 and OoT3DS is night and day. The textures are much crisper and fuller in OoT64, along with longer draw distances and larger poly counts.

Going through all the lethal weapon movies, I thought it was interesting how Riggs went from badass supercop with a stupid mullet to reasonable looking dude who was just good at his job. You don't normally see that and I thought it was a nice touch of realism on age.
