I agree that the ocean is generally a staggering wonder - however, the edges of the ocean that meet land where people live has been made intolerable and disgusting.

This is also a correct beach take. When I moved near the beach, I thought I liked the beach. It took me a while before I accepted that I did not like the beach.

It’s almost as if... we have differing opinions regarding the inherent goodness and badness of the beach. It appears that you believe the beach is good, while I believe that the beach is actually bad.
