I openly admitted I don’t understand streaming culture. I’m not trying to be an asshole here, I just genuinely don’t get it.

Maybe it’s I don’t really understand Twitch and because I see all streamers as inherently replaceable, but honestly wouldn’t everyone completely forget about this guy after about a month and just move on to a different streamer? Is this guy really that invaluable?

He absolutely was unsure how to wrap up the series and is allowing D&D to fall on their swords for him so he can use the public as a focus group for the books. The annoying thing is, anything he writes, the fanboys who have been bitching about D&D this entire time will lap it up, regardless of it’s quality.

That’s exactly why it doesn’t make sense to criticize here - there are plenty of examples of the show poorly handling female characters (and probably 3 instances in this episode alone that are much more egregious than this).
